Cebu is a Province of the Philippines located in Central Visayas region, and consists of main island and and 167 surrounding islands and islets. Its capital is Cebu City, the oldest city and first capital of the Philippines, which is politically independent from the provincial government.

  • Cebu Heritage Monument

This Heritage in Cebu is a place that any tourist can't miss in visiting the Queen City of the South. This landmark is a clear picture of the City's History. It's made with dark stone and bricks that shows landmarks and some historic places in Cebu like Basilica Santo Niño, St. John the Baptist Church, a Spanish Galleon, the Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral and the Magellan’s Cross. The monument also depicts famous Cebuanos including Saint Pedro Calungsod and the late president Sergio Osmeña, Sr. The events depicted on the monument start with the time of Rajah Humabon until the day Saint Pedro Calungsod wa beatified. Cebu HEritage Monument is located in the Original Plaza Parian in the Parian District.

 

  • Magellan's Cross

One of the most historic and significant place in the Philippines history especially in Cebu. Magellan's Cross is believed to be planted by the Portuguese and Spanish explorers headed by Ferdinand Magellan.It was planted upon their arrival in Cebu on March 15,1521. Magellan's Cross also signifies the birth of Christianity in the land of Cebu. Magellan’s Cross holds a very big part of the history of Cebu. It is believed to be a Christian cross planted by the Portuguese and Spanish explorers headed by Ferdinand Magellan. It was planted upon their arrival in Cebu on March 15, 1521. That day also marked the birth of Christianity in the land. This Cross is housed in a chapel next to the Basilica Minore del Santo Nino on Magallanes Strees just in front of the city center of Cebu City.

 

 

  • Oslob,Cebu (Whale Shark Encounter)

Whale Sharks can be seen in a small barangay of Tan-awan, which is 10 km away from the center of the town of Oslob. Whale Shark watching in Cebu started last September 2011 and it became popular all over the world. By December 2011, local fishermen's interact with the whale sharks by feeding them that result to flocking of tourist to the beach of Tan-awan.

Aside from the Whale Shark watching Oslob is also known for its beautiful beaches. White Sand and Blue Waters that surrounds the whole island.
